I am a graduate student in the World History PhD program at Northeastern University, with graduate certificates in Digital Humanities, Public History, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I am currently preparing for comps.

My intellectual interests include Global Islam, British and French Empires, (post)colonialism, and Modern European Immigration. I am interested in colonial policies regarding Islamic communities, and how that relationship has affected modern immigration trends to Britain and France from former colonies. My undergraduate thesis, Unveiling Laïcité: Secularism, Algerian Muslims, and the Headscarf Affair in Modern France, analyzed the 2004 headscarf affair in France, focusing on its roots in the French Revolution and Algerian War for Independence.

I live in Boston.
